Manjit Kaur earned her Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School where she graduated magna cum laude, served as Vice-President of the South Asian Law Students Association, and received the Public Interest Award for her dedication to public service. After graduating from law school, Manjit worked for a mid-size law firm for six years, successfully representing clients across the country in all facets of immigration law. She subsequently established a successful law practice of her own, Kaur Law Firm, PLLC, where her dedication to her clients and passion for the law continues to drive her work.
Manjit is licensed in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the South Asian Bar Association of New York, the New York City Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Manjit’s track record of success extends beyond immigration law to include real estate, business, and family law matters. Using her wealth of legal experience and advocacy, Manjit has been able to provide high-quality legal counsel to clients, helping them to protect their rights and achieve their desired outcomes.
Manjit joined Singh Ahluwalia in 2022 and is Of Counsel for the firm’s removal defense division. In addition to practicing law, Manjit served as a volunteer advocate for the Sikh Coalition and is a founding member of KiiRPA – a women-led non-profit that aims to empower women in the Punjabi community. Manjit was born and raised in Queens, New York, and speaks Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu fluently. Her leisure time is spent reading a good book, traveling with family and friends, and playing with her dog.
